What is the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?

In the USA, the CDC reported approximately 1 in 59 children diagnosed with ASD in 2018. In India, AIIMS estimated 1 in 89 children (2-9 years) affected by ASD. 

Boys are four times more likely to be diagnosed with autism than girls. 

ADHD affects 30 to 61 percent of children with autism. Anxiety, depression, sleep issues, intellectual disabilities, and gastrointestinal disorders are also commonly linked to ASD.

More than half of children with autism face chronic sleep problems, nearly a third suffer from chronic gastrointestinal disorders, and a significant percentage are overweight or obese.

Support and belief from someone can significantly contribute to the success and persistence of individuals with autism. 

Nearly 90% of unnatural deaths among those with ASD aged 14 and younger are associated with wandering or bolting.
